Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter to all!! I wish the weather here had been as bright as the dresses and flowers at church. It's been gray, cloudy, and windy today. Coming home from church, it was only 45 degrees. Yuck!! I am finally ready for warmer weather. I had to see the end of any season, but I do like the feel of the sun on my skin in the spring. I'm enjoying being on spring break. We saw Horton Hears a Who on Friday, and it was cute. Bebe and I took the kids. Everybody liked it. Enjoyed the egg hunt yesterday too. This week, for me, will be working on my practicum for my Ed.S program. And write a critique and look at writing an article. Double yuck!! I just have to remind myself of July 12 and I remember that I can do it!! Here are some pictures of the girls before church this morning. We were in a hurry, and with the weather, I didn't want to get outside. I'll have them wear it again when it's warmer to get some outside shots. Have a great rest of the day.

Dance Competition

Hello all!! We got back a little ago from Greenville, SC for a dance competition that Reed was in. We are two tired little puppies. Allie stayed with Bebe and her daddy while Mamaw, Mommy, and Reed got to go. Reed's tap group did fantastic!! We were a little disappointed with the judging, b/c they only got a high silver. The girls though did great for this to be their first "big" experience. The production tap team got high silver, and the production hip-hop team got gold. Reed is on both of these. Most of what placed the highest were the numbers that were different, edgy, and more comtemporary.
Reed competed Friday night and then was in classes Saturday and Sunday. She was thrilled to get to work with Barry Youngblood again and Blake McGrath. Blake was on the dance show, So You Think You Can Dance. One of the dancers from our studio won one of two awards that they give. She won a week's worth of lessons from a Millenium Dance Studio in L.A., that's the one were "famous" people go.
I have never seen hundreds of girls dancing and screaming and cheering each other on. I only wish we could take pictures during the actual competition. Here are a couple of pictures I got with my cell phone of Reed's tap group before they went on.
