Reed was in her PTA program tonight, and they did a 50's theme. Thanks to Makenna (and Laura) for letting us borrow the costume. Sure is nice to have such great friends!! It is our school's 50th birthday, and our music teacher has done an awesome job celebrating that this school year. The girls looked so cute with their skirts and ponytails. It was sweet. Reed was part of a group who did some dance moves while they sang "Rockin Robin" I didn't know she was doing that. I was shocked that she didn't bust out, but she seemed kind of shy up on stage. That's not my dancer. We'll have dance competition pictues and stories later in March.

Only a Woman Could Have Written This
I laughed so hard at this last night I was crying. Billy didn't quite "get it," but I think it is a lady thing. Have you ever felt this way when it was that time? I have!! I had the video up, but it messed my sidebar up. So anyway, here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0e-mldM3ME
Okay, I've edited to ask why the link is not showing up? UGH!! First the video, now the link. Anyway, funny fake commerical about a once-a-year period. Look it up on youtube, annuale

Excitement!!!
The new songs help show my excitement for Michael Jackson (the 80's version) and U2. Check out the songs, find one you remember, and enjoy. Leave me a comment to let me know what you think about these guys!!
I know I am getting old when these two things are exciting to me:
1- Thriller's re-release on Tuesday. I never had that album, but my friend Jill did and boy did we wear it out. I remember laying on the floor, opening it up to look at the pictures and listening to it. I also remember how big it was to go to the video store and rent the Thriller video. Oh my, I am telling my age here. =)
2- U2's 3D concert movie is coming out next week. I am excited for that because I have seen them live 6 times and it is AWESOME. I compare going to see/hear them live as being in church. Some of their stuff is very religious in nature and it is extremely stirring. Did you know their song "40" is based on Psalms 40. Bono quotes scripture during concerts. Also, I just like how they've done it for so long. After 9/11, I saw them in Philly, and at the end of the show they closed out by rolling all the victims' names behind them. They are compassionate people who happen to be a legendary band. Billy got excited when he found a girl that liked them as much as he does.

I'm It!!
My friend Christi at christsblahblahblog.blogspot.com tagged me to have some fun. I'm not going to tag anybody, but if you want to play. Let me know in the comments section so I can check you out!!!!!
Here's how you play: once you've been tagged you have to write a blog with 4 random facts, habits or goals about yourself. At the end choose 4 people to be tagged; list their names and why you tagged them. Don't forget to leave them a comment saying "you're it!" and to go read your blog. You cannot tag the person that tagged you, so since you can't tag me back let me know when you are done so that I can go read your blog answers.
1. I had to get a license to drive a bus when I worked for Headstart. Totally scary for me!! I had to identify parts under the bus and under the hood. Couldn't do it now if you had a gun to my head!!
2. I shook hands with Garth Brooks at the Washington County Tobacco Festival in 1990. He had just hit it big, and that was a big deal to me for a long time.
3. I still have a blanket. Enough said.
4. For Lent, I am giving up drinking tea for lunch. I am going to make myself drink water. For me, that is a huge sacrifice. I DO NOT like water.

Friday's Feasts
Here's a fun little Friday thing to do!!
Appetizer
What is your favorite kind of cereal?
I love cereal so it's hard to pick. Right now, I'm into Honey Bunches of Oats
Soup
When was the last time you purchased something for your home, what was it, and in which room did it go?
I bought a shower caddy thing that hangs over the shower head. So, obviously, it hangs in the bathroom.
Salad
What is the funniest commercial you’ve ever seen?
I don't know about funniest. Recently, that Peyton Manning one where he says he's bummed football is over makes me chuckle.
Main Course
Make up a name for a company by using a spice and an animal (example: Cinnamon Monkey).
Clove Donkey
Dessert
Fill in the blank: I haven’t ______ since ______.
I haven't had such a good time since I was with Christi last.

Oh. My. Gosh!!!!
We got tickets to the movie. I got online, found them, and Jim and Bernice picked them up for me. There were NO tickets for Saturday, at all. We had to get 8:00 tickets for Sunday night. Actually, I'm kind of looking forward to it. Amie, Meredith, and Parker saw her in concert and said it was great. Should be fun!!

Reed
Reed's throat is doing better. She says it doesn't hurt as much today as it has been. She is even trying to eat some. She had some very, soupy oatmeal this morning. Well, actually just a few bites, but that is pretty good. I'm going to get her out of the house tonight and go to North to see Brittany. She is on the Queen of Hearts court and tonight is the "big event." I hope to get a few pictures of her. Cross fingers.
